Watercooled spindles
I see the majority of the watercooled spindles & VFD’s (2.2kW) are 220v. I see some VFD’s out there, you can get them in 110v.
Does anyone have a 110v version?
Does anyone know the performance difference between the two? I’m in the US and really don’t want to mess around with running a 220v line.

Most spindles are three-phase AC motors. VFD will create the proper signals out of mono-phase AC supply most of us have at home. There are plenty versions that will work at 110V, for example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LJL-1-5KW-7A-2HP-SAFETY-STOP-COMPLIANT-VARIABLE-FREQUENCY-DRIVE-VB-110V-GDJ-57-/111438647474?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19f242d0b2

Will using 110v version degrade the amount of power I can get out of the VFD though?

I wouldn’t think so, because European 220 is only 2 prong, so still just a single phase as well.
