I have just complete the 40x20x10 calibration object and have noticed the the sides of the part have consitent wavy features on all the faces. Are there any values in the config file that can be increase or decreased that might smooth out the surfaces? It’s like the head is jerking slightly rather that travelling ina straight line

This is most probably a mechanical problem.
About config, you can try reducing acceleration and junction_deviation, and see if that helps.
Can you post a picture of the part ?

This is common on delta printers.
First thing to try is wedging foam blocks between the parallel arms to stop vibrations etc.
Next is to stiffen up the corners to stop lateral (side to side) movement caused by effector movement.
