We decided 1 month ago to develop a SLA 3D Printer. This printer should use :

  • LED DLP light source
  • table base printer
  • ease to use
  • cheap in regard to the light source
  • delivered as an assembly kit or ready to use
  • quality items for the Z axis
  • print size up to 200 x 200 x 300 mm
  • network connection

And we are thinking about to run the printer under GPL or comparable rights. We will see.

Stay in touch with our progress, problems and its solutions, picture and more.

Very interested. I even have a linear actuator similar to what you show here that is crying for a purpose. How can I keep in touch? Do you have a subscribe-to feed or list?

I would be interested too in subscribing.

+1

I’m working on a sla controller software for android led projectors! the software slices the 3d model in realtime during printing thanks to the gpu hardware found on every android projector out there!

and you just plug the eletronics in the usb port of the projector and print u go!

let me known if thats interesting for you and we can talk more! I’m planing ona kickstarter campaingn for this software+ android projector!

@Roberto_Hradec , I am interested in what sort of projector you refer to. I have an access point I use for cellular Internet access that is also a projector. Something like that? That projector is pretty small. I like your idea because that means all the real hardware is in the device and you just need one stepper motor to do the rest. Please look into doing something like what OLO is doing on tablets for real build plates and not something tiny

yep! thats exactly the idea…
if you look at http://aliexpress.com, just search “android dlp”…

also, you can get one of those “android tv boxes” out there for an average of $40 bucks and use with any dlp projector! :yum:

@Roberto_Hradec , now I’m curious. What are the DLP projector requirements including minimum and maximum physical size? Please let us know about your kickstarter even if in draft.

@Roberto_Hradec my concern is retrofitting to your design. If you have specific dimensions and layout I would want to avoid extensive mods.

this is a mockup of the browser software that one will use to prepare and submit models to the android projector running the software Im developing.

once you submit, the software will start printing and you can turn the computer off!

Looks great. Looking forward to seeing the Kickstarter!

@Samer_Najia , actually, as the software runs on android, you can use a android dlp projector, but you could also use any “android tv box” with any dlp projector.

android tv box are devices like chromecast, but running a standard android os instead. For example:

http://m.ebay.com/itm/291718653135

so, you could just plug a stick like that into your own projector, and connect the electronics to its usb port and you’re set!

So, in practice, you dont need to change your current projector at all!

@Samer_Najia , I’ll let u known for sure about the kickstarter campaign!

But you can also keep an eye at www.chemshapes.com… I’ll update it as soon as the campaign gets closer to start!!
