We just launched a Kickstarter project. An super easy-to-use app in which you can create your own models for 3D Printing. We start with jewelry pendants but have a lot more ideas. From the ground up, this should have been cross platform. Mobile, PC, Android, iOS…you’ve chosen a niche market, and then cut that niche market in half.
Additionally, this looks like a glorified shapeways front end. It sounds like shapeways manufactures the items, and you’re just a middleman? I understand why you would LOVE that idea, but…why should we?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are right that it would be great if we make it available on more platforms. That is why we built the core functionality in Unity so that we can easily convert it into other platforms. We just needed to start somewhere and picked one platform to start. If we had the funds to go all out, we probably would not ask for your support on Kickstarter 
What is truly innovative about our project is that you can modify 3D models in an easy-to-use app on your phone. No one else offers that. I am sure you have tried to tinker with 3D modelling software? They are very complex, often too complex for the average user. We offer a platform so everybody can design and create 3D models and thereby get access to the wonderful things 3D printers can do.
You should love our product because it will simplify the most complicated step in creating something unique: The creation of a 3D model for use with 3D printers.

So basically this app is meant for people who don’t own a 3d printer
It is for people who want to create models for 3D printing without using CAD software. It is useful for people with or without 3D printers. We can just send you the generated STL for use with your own printer. Please see the second reward on the right hand side in the link below

We will implement it into the app if there is enough interest in 3D models only. Our market research has shown more interest in getting the final product from us, but the coming weeks may show different results. We added a new Kickstarter video that explains in more detail how many exciting things you can do with our app. For the 3D Printing community the technology behind it is probably the most interesting. It is quite a challenge to create an easy-to-use mobile platform that generates beautiful printable 3D models. Let me know if you have any technical questions about it.
