Well here is another project. Getting the R7 dialed in.

Well here is another project. Getting the R7 dialed in. Still have some tweaking but really enjoying this machine. Ran this at 5000mm/m rough and finish at 3000mm/m. Ran great. This is a gift for my parents.

Wow, that is great work. I would love to see the workflow from picture to G-code. I have tried a little and I gave up before I converted an image.

@Colin_Kaminski thanks. I use VCarve pro and most of the 3d stuff came from design and make website. They have 3d vectors that you can purchase and makes life much simpler.

Thank you. For some reason I thought you were converting images with Sketch Up and I didn’t have any fast luck with that path.

@Colin_Kaminski I am pretty sure that Vectric Aspire software can turn an image into a 3d vector but it is pretty expensive.

That looks very cool. $2k is a bit much for software for a hobbyist goofing around in the garage. I assume it possible for someone with Vectric Aspire to to generate the G code and then send the G code file to someone else to do the machining. I’m still trying to figure out what I can do with CamBam.

@Jamie_Wilson very cool bud! Bet they will be stoked!

@Don_Price drop any stl into CAMBAM and it will do the same.
