WELL here it is. It’s actually printing now. WOOHOO
Jump to 4 minutes to skip the boring crap. It gives me a bit of a jump when it moves so quickly, as I’m kind of contorting myself between it and the wall to get that shot. Speedy and no overshoot at all on the servo! I’m impressed!
It’s printing on clean, but unheated glass, so that’s why it’s peeling up. I’m going to get the heater installed tonight (uugh, another 1000W to add to the power budget) and hopefully get this thing doing some good test prints to start calibrating things.
I also need to move the GeckoDrive inboard and use some Anderson PowerPole connectors to bring in the 80VDC required for the servo, so that I can keep things modular and such. Trying to come up with a good way to keep the GeckoDrive cool during long prints as well.
