Well I built the frame.

Well I built the frame. Its huge! Got the other two printers there in the pic as well, the larger one would fit inside the frame I just built. It is rock solid and very sturdy, so I’m excited for some good prints.
Next up is to cut and mount the openbuilds v-rail and get the gantry designed as well as sizing up the z motors and rail system to get that aluminum ordered too. Hopefully some more progress soon!

Thanks @MISUMI_USA for having some awesome aluminum extrusion frame kits available!

(2ft³ build area, hopefully)

this made me smile

Its so lifelike! How did you get the different colors?

nice!

Hi, i’m working on s-bot and b-bot, can you see my model on http://www.3d-beppe.com

Time to print a few more of you (that first print turned out looking very life-like), then you’ll be done with all your projects in a flash!

I want to see more big homemade stuff like this

Nice man!!

@Giuseppe_Caldara Awesome! Those things are what i’m trying to build myself! Great to see some working examples of what I can achieve!

hopping inside the frame certainly adds some perspective of it’s size

I built a big printer then had to the Y axiz to allow it to fit through a door. DOH…

Haha, I just measured and it looks like i’m about 1.5" too wide for my doorway. Looks like I’ll be taking it apart if I want to get it out of the house!

Build one in a metal door frame
