Well I’m about at the end of the trail now with this project. This is what it looks like now. Yeah the drive runs, but I am not terribly excited about how it seems to perform. But I am using an unknown surplus motor that I have never run on any drive before. So I am not 100% sure precisely what is going on. With the drive set at “2.5 amps” output the whole drive is only drawing about an amp though.

The old saying goes, “if you don’t know what you’re doing, do it neatly” Haha So take it you have everything under control.

Trying to remember the last time I saw one of those analog meters. Just googled it and didn’t realize they still sell them…

@Mat_Helm yeah, and still priced pretty well. When I didn’t have an oscope an analog meter was needed it for real time fluctuations, the quick subtle things my digital meter just seem to make erratic.

@Amos_J
Control is an illusion. I am far from the bottom of everything going on here now too. I’ve more digging to do in this can of worms. Including that meter. Right now it is not being too subtle when it comes to measuring current. I thought it worked the last time I used it? I am going to have to break out my 260. I do not have a current probe for my scope. I would like to get one though.
