Well (most of) it came off! Yeah, the Gorilla glue was overkill - but I really wanted to make sure it stuck, since the bottom was a mating surface that needed to be as flat as possible.
The glue easily peeled off the glass around the print. However it firmly bound about 1/2 of the first layer to the glass. I ended up losing between 0.14 & 0.3 mm from the bottom layer separating/delaminating.
Definitely not a recommended long term strategy.
Have you tried just purple Elmer’s glue? I think Gorilla Glue is made to be more permanent in nature.
I agree I used glue stick, but did not like the mess. So, I started using paper.
I guess the next time that you use gorilla glue, you will use a raft. A raft will also reduce the need for a strong glue or adhesive.
I kicked off another print this morning - using green painters tape on the cleaned off glass. My son just told me that the print job was good and stuck to the tape, which had stuck good and hard to the glass - he had a heck of a time getting it off. This stuff defies any sense or logic…
I ordered a CoroPad to try out (http://www.corotechnology.com/english/coropad/). I will put up a little review of it. I like using paper, but replacing it every print, the spray glue… well, you get the idea…
