Welp I did it. Ordered a Monoprice Maker Select. Plan on getting it in, making sure everything is good wrt mechanical and other connections, and over time tuning it up. Will get a microswiss shortly and do all the other things people suggest.

Also ordered some of the $5 sample packs from protoparadigm.

Still working on my DLP software, but the prices these days are just too good to pass up for a FDM machine.

Anyone in Everett WA?

That looks like the wanhao i3 that was being sold by Aldis! Yes, Hard to pass at those prices.

It’s a solid printer. Sure it’s a bit slow and has issues. But it has a steel frame and you can mod it pretty cheaply to make it better. At the price point its hard to beat.
