Went to MatterHackers today to pickup another Titan Aero but noticed it’s missing a bearing to hold the larger gear. I see that the plastic body where the larger gear goes had what looks like a ceramic like washer and there was another one like it within a bag labeled as ‘M-Fix-Aero-kit’.
What is this kit for and am I now supposed to use that washer in place of the bearing that’s supposed to go within the heat sink to hold the other end of the larger gear?
Never mind…mystery solved…just found on E3D’s site the following message.
"As of January 2018 Titan Extruders are being shipped with solid polymer bushings instead of bearings whilst an issue with our bearings is being resolved. "
