I had a similar issue yesterday with the Prusa I’m building. I was anxious to fire it up but hadn’t assembled the E3D yet, but I wanted to see the motors move. So with no thermistor plugged in the firmware couldn’t detect the min temp and as a result it wouldn’t do anything. After I’d assembled the hotend and connected the thermistor the board was happy.
You may want to double check the thermistor and/or its wiring.
I also experienced today the issue @Whosa_whatsis mentioned as I quickly tried to fire up RH on a Windows machine. It took 30min to figure that one out but it will show connected but have commands waiting if the ‘reset’ box is ticked within the printer settings.
Thanks for the help guys, I’ll review if I had that box checked tomorrow. For the time being, we swapped it for an X3 as the owner is anxious to get it running. I’ll do a mock run with only the electronics this time.
@Van_Robbins , great! You all should be able to strip the ends of the thermistor and crimp them to your thermistor wiring. If you run into any more issues, make a new post at this community or bring it by next Saturday if you’d like me to take a whack at it You may need to change the thermistor settings in the firmware before firing it up to match the E3D’s but there should be instructions online of others who’ve already done the same on a Printrbot. Good luck!
