What am I doing wrong here? When I draw this in Correl export it to my desk top then try to import it into Laserweb3 it doesn’t seem to show up in the grid even though it says SVG open?
Could you try with this file https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-1--YftWEOrY05Kd0Npejg4eHc/view?usp=drivesdk
Yes Ariel that file open okay for me!!
Have you tried export settings with svg 1.1
Yes I have tried svg1.1 no difference?
Can you post a picture of the image or file you are trying to do, like a screenshot from corel
That’s OK. Is this a vector or an image you are trying to laser?
Never mind I see that you are exporting as curves. Usually when the display is empty means there’s nothing to render, invalid path. Is there an option to convert those letter to path before exporting if it’s not done allready?
That is something that confuses me. I left them as text and did not convert to curves. I also agree there is nothing in the file when I import it into laserweb??
Ah I see my mistake. I am sorry to have bothered you but thanks for the help I appreciate it very much…
Please state the mistake or what have you done to fix it so other searching can benefit from the answer
Yes since I was cutting the letters out I should have converted to vectors via the “convert to curves” option.
Or “convert to paths” option in Illustrator. What is the relevant Inkscape command for convert text to path/vector/curve called? Might be good to add it here too.
Stroke to path or object to path for inkscape
