What can I do if my laser is broken?

I bought Zbaitu Z40 half a month ago, and the cutting effect is very good for 4MM plywood , but I can’t cut anymore today.

I contacted the seller and they asked me to check the lens. Is the laser’s lens easy to replace? I spent over $1000 to buy this laser, if the laser broken, what can I do?

where does all the smoke go from the cutting process? It looks like it has not only 2 fans blowing air through the heatsink fins but also an air assist line which should be blowing the cutting smoke away from the lens.

if that chamber below the laser module gets full of smoke then ya, the lens is probably sooted. Less powerful lens’s are generally pretty cheap. they can sometimes be cleaned.

Thank you very much, I cleaned the lens today, and it is indeed the problem you mentioned. My laser machine has a fume extraction function, and I will cover it tightly with an acrylic cover when cutting, so the smoke cannot be seen.

If your diode laser machine is also inside a big box then I would remove that shield at the bottom of the laser module since it is trapping smoke in the direct area of the lens.
