What could be causing the “extra material” to build when slicing the STL file? It’s not present in the actual CAD design. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
I’d GUESS the shape isn’t manifold???
Looks like stl geometry errors - try fixing the stl with Netfabb or exporting it with different settings and see if the error persists.
Run the STL through Netfabb cloud repair, and reslice. See if that fixes it. Generally that will fix a lot of issues.
Wow! Thanks guys. I downloaded Netfabb and repaired the file. Reinserted it into the slicer and voila! It’s awesome to have a problem and have people you don’t even know help you out in just a few minutes. You guys are the best! Thanks so much!
