What ever you do don't google "hips bed sticking".

What ever you do don’t google “hips bed sticking”. Not at all what I was hoping for, What do you use for sticking HIPS to the print bed. Hairspray is failing miserably. I tired the bed at different temps from 40 - 70 nozzle seems fine at anything over 220. and Im going to see how it goes with the cooling fan off.

Nothing worked for me it keeps getting off the bed. I hate hips.
Some people say you need 110-115 bed temp to print hips, but I could not reach that temp.

Just tried at 60 for the bed with enough hairpray to make my office smell like a salon and fan off. It stayed in place but still warped. It’s bridging seems really good and surface finnish is also nice. It strange to feel a familiar shape that moved differently to it does in Pla.

Gotta run hot. 100-110

Will need to go to a ssr for the bed.

That’s never a bad idea. Don’t cheap out on them. It’s worth paying 40$ for the name brand one to not have it blow up on you.

What works for ABS should work for HIPS as well - they are chemically and physically very similar plastics, after all. PEI works wonderfully for HIPS (and ABS. and PLA), but i’d assume glue stick at slightly below ABS temperatures should work as well.

Ive used UHU and Elmers with great results as well as PEI.

just like @Thomas_Sanladerer says: PEI and you are good to go. If your bed misses to get +100 degrees, you are playing, not printing
