What is the best way for a novice to get into R7 or OX

What is the best way for a novice to get into R7 or OX CNC machines? Beyond the build kits, what else is a must have? Bits/ends?

Looking into working mostly with aluminum and some wood? Just trying to get the right machine the first time irrespective of initial price. Tired of getting in low cost and realizing I need something bigger.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

The R7 is a great machine. You will definitely need bits, drill 1 store on eBay or random sellers on Amazon are my usual gotos, but I recently started more Aluminum work and purchased some lovely coated bits from CarbideCart, not cheap but very high quality bits from Destiny tools.

Besides the machine, bits and materials, I would recommend a roll of masking tape and bottle of super glue for hold down https://youtu.be/ub6PsY4cgwg

You will also want a shop vac of some kind. I would recommend getting the quietest one you can most are horrendously noisey and if you’re doing wood you will run it a lot.

You’ll also need some projects to cut your teeth on!

@Ben_Delarre thank you

This is to big for my space but I have used them and they are quiet.

Smw3d has a great endmill starter kit now: https://www.smw3d.com/end-mill-starter-set/

Definitely the stubby 4mm bit is great for aluminum.
