What is the lightest weight All metal (high temp) money can buy at the moment?
Are you just talking about a hotend?
If that is the case then the DyzeEnd is probably a contender. Only 25mm wide and made from stainless steel and titanium. It is specified up to 500C.
@Neil_Darlow oops, yes hotend
The new mini hotend from @Shai_Schechter would be a good option. Cheap and very light. I think he said it goes to around 350c but don’t quote me on that
Also the b3 innovations Pico would be the smallest I know of
The titanium Tiko3D hotend would be a good contender.
But since the Tiko isn’t released yet, you’d have to buy the whole company (or bribe their supplier) to get it.
@Branden_Coates What do they mean by hybrid? not all metal?
@Neil_Darlow DyzeEnd looks very good, i like being able to use very big and very small nozzle’s, this is one thing with the deltaprintr hotend at the moment it only has a 0.4 mm nozzle. Unfortunately the DzeEnd is super expensive!
@Camerin_hahn Have you used a Pico? i have heard there melt zone is quite long and can lead to jam’s or something… would like to hear from someone who has printed a lot of PLA & ABS & Nylon on one
@Daniel_Farley Cost is a matter of utility. If a hotend is expensive but can manage a wide variety of materials reliably then the actual cost-of-ownership over time could be less than a cheaper alternative.
@Daniel_Farley I have not printed with one, you asked for the smallest, lightest. The smaller a metal hot end gets the longer the melt zone will be.
