What is the software you use to drive you printer?
I use Repetier Host with my Printrbot simple. (For slicing Slic3r - inbuilt in Repiter Host)
Firmware - Marlin.

RepetierHost/Pronsole/pronterface and Marlin firmware. slic3r, cura, kisslicer too.
Since you have used many software, which one do you recommend for a newbie - some review.
Slic3r, Pronterface/Octoprint, Marlin
Solidworks -> Netfabb -> Slic3r -> Octoprint -> Marlin
A 3d printing workflow chain isn’t typically very efficient - Repetier with Slic3r integrated is probably as good as it gets.
@Matt_Kraemer1 you’re right, and Slic3r has even been chocking on some parts that Solidworks churned out. I really need to switch to Cura, but i’ve got so much to do and so little time…
Sketchup/OpenSCAD, Kisslicer, OctoPrint, Marlin
I’ve been a skeinforge user a long time and used slic3r occasionally. Recently started using Cura and it’s just the app I’ve been waiting for. Now if I can have OpenScad Built into Cura, I’ll be well sorted.
It looks like switching to Cura from Skeinforge is going to save me a lot of plastic; Saved 25 percent on a part I print regularly.
I think slic3r is good but it just has too many tabs for the settings.
Blender/OpenScad/DesignSpark Mechanical - KISSlicer/RepG v40. Have Cura and Slic3r but haven’t used them much.
Rhino, cura, pronterface.
i use Cura, OctoPi, and Marlin
Thanks all for sharing the list of software, I will try them one by one.
