@Daid_Braam
Sure, Skeinforge is a mess. But for an obsiolete printer whose skeinforge profiles work, the effort required to get some other set of software up and running and dialed in may be too much trouble.

@Karl_Loeffler Can you elaborate on that? What do you mean by squashing the layers?
@Adam_Price Sure. If you search for my post in this section of the forum (questions/help) on January 19, you can see a picture of it. I can’t post a picture in comments or I would, and I don’t know how to link to my post. In general, the bottom 5 layers are “squashed” together. I estimate it is 5 layers because I have about 3~4 layers of height difference between CURA and Slic3r. Comparing parts made with CURA to my friends Prusa i3 (using Slic3r) the parts are the same. So CURA -> Slic3r on my printer shows the first 3~5 layers squashed down into about 2 layers. Slic3r (my printer) -> Slic3r (friends printer) shows the same issue. Maybe my RAMPS board isn’t interpretting the g-code the same way. What I haven’t done is have him ship me the gcode and let me run his gcode on my printer. Hmmm…JOHN RIDLEY!!!
