What’s a good place to share CNC-able designs?

I design a lot of sheet-goods-based furniture (ersatz-Ikea!), etc. and living where I am, I’m not really worried about the competition, so would like to share the designs (and get feedback/improvements).

Github, ultimaker has their own version of thingiverse, thingiverse. Shapeoko may have their own repository.

thingiverse would be a great place for them as they would be open sourced.

I get a lot of designs from grabCAD.com. Found the place when I was looking for AR15 parts

we need our own place for cnc objects…

@Jan_Przybilla I am a member of http://letsmakerobots.com. 3d printing has bitten a number of active members there. One of them has started pushing for a similar repo for robot parts. If every special group has their own repo and an outsider suddenly decides to look for xyz part, they will start with the most common places first. If the special repo ‘we’ set up doesn’t rank high enough on their search or they don’t know what they are looking for, will they run across ‘our’ repo?

@Kyle_Kerr - hehe, cool. I am member there, too. Espec. for robotics you are right, totally.

But for cnc milling you often have to recalculate all paths.

It would be great to have a source just for cnc - with a focus on gcode for cnc machines - not 3d printers or laser cutters.

I don’t mean just a repo. A newsboard with a download and a projects section would be cool. And a gcode viewer for file preview. And a machine gallery.

Grabcad.com of course
