Autodesk Fusion 360. Powerful and free to students.

openscad + fusion360

OpenSCAD

I really appreciate the ability to create completely parametric/dynamic models that are easily managed via Git.

Freecad

Open scad if I want a parametric model, sculptris if I want an organic model, autodesk fusion if I want a mechanical 1off quickly

BTW, my real world tool box has more than 1 type of hammer, my digital tool box needs more than one CAD package

Siemens NX. All that I usually need in one place

Autodesk Fusion 360, parametric design, free for hobbyists and enthusiasts

Fusion360 and Creo Parametric

FreeCAD, mostly because I tried it out a long time ago and have stuck with it as it’s improved.

Solidworks. Nothing better.

SolidWorks for work and play

SketchUp because the learning curve is almost 0

OpenSCAD

OpenSCAD because it’s ordinary language, free and easy to learn to use. Much power in a simple package.

Freecad

ViaCad Pro v9, OpenSCAD, FreeCAD

Solid works because it is NASA grade and less tinkerer/more professional. But I’m beginning to use Fusion 360 because it’s easy to share and print right from
