When a clock got damaged at the office at work and was about to be thrown away, I rescued the perfectly good mechanism as I’ve always fancied having a go at creating my own clockface.
I designed a new face in #Cubify Invent based on overlapping numerals surrounding the space for the clock mechanism. The part filled most of the bed on my #Mendel90 and took many hours to print. I painted the hands with white acrylic paint so they would show up against the black ABS.
Job well done!
That’s really good looking! I’d also be interested in the files, did you re-use the hands or print them?
Thanks. I’ve posted the design to https://3dagogo.com/Growing-Up-Slowly/designs/ClockFace if anyone is really interested.
@Liam_Jackson , yes I re-used the hands. They are light weight aluminium with very fine concentric fittings that would be difficult to print.
