Where is Home Z position on (MonoPrice) Flashforge Creator X? I would like to lower the Z position so because my build plant’s springs are fully compressed. So far I cannot find such a setting and the Technicians from MonoPrice could not help. Thank s
Yeah, home is usually defined by something bumping a switch or tripping a sensor. Find the Z switch, it is probably near the top of the rear slides. There might be an adjustable screw that touches the switch button.
The back plate of the Z carriage triggers the Z end stop at the top back where the threaded rod is. You can shim it so it will trigger the end stop sooner. There’s a customizable shim on thingiverse that you can print.

There is an adjustment under Utilities->HomeOffsets. The printer uses Sailfish: http://www.sailfishfirmware.com/doc/parameters-home-offsets.html#x19-570004.1
Adjustment of the physical should come first. Fine tune with firmware. And if you put glass on there, just print a plate the fits between the guide bars.
