Why is my makerbot dual doing this during calibration? How can y be so far out?
Oh the joys of closed source.
Yeah… Can’t help you with MakerBot!
No idea, it’s a makerbot.
MakerBot bashing, that’s original.
Send it back
To paraphrase the Sergeant from the movie “Beau Geste” “And we have our uses for Makerbot” Makerbot is fine for some people. Brin is helping to get the Word out there.
I own a flashforge which is the same as the makerbot. Are you running sailfish or makerbot stock?
Looks like what happens when the extruders are wired in reverse, so extruder 1 is connected where extruder 2 is supposed to be, and vice versa.
@Kenneth_Cummings That’s the Rep1, so it’s Open. The point is irrelevant to this post, anyway.
@joseph_barrows I don’t remember exactly what the setting is called, but the Firmware contains a setting for the nozzle offset. If it’s too far off, you see things like this.
Stock 7.5 firmware
I too thought the extruders were reversed so swapped the plugs on the mainboard, but that caused the feed motors to run backwards somehow.
Is the last of their open devices, are the instructions on how the physically swap the extruders?
Kenneth, This is the output from the firmware nozzel offset utility, set to middle of its range.
