Why my 3d print doesn’t complete it’s job? It calculates the job should finish in three hours but when I turn around it is done in two hours but the object is not finished.
Ramps? PC controlled?
Good question. We’d need to know a lot more about your setup to answer it. Printing from SD card, via USB, etc.
For me I have a similar question and answer. Simplify3D was printing a hand for e-Nable, my NVIDIA drivers crashed 90% into the print. I’ve deliberately not answered the GUI prompt and it looks to still be printing okay, minus any on screen feedback.
Mark I am printing with the makerbot software using usb. I have simplify but I don’t know how to use it.
So many variables. I’m not familiar with the Takerbot software but there should be a terminal screen that shows the Gcode being sent and the responses that come back. Run a print with that window showing, see if you get timeout messages. Does the print always fail after the same duration regardless of what you’re printing? If so it could be your controller overheating and failing, working again after sufficient cooling.
Sometimes antivirus software or firewall.
Did it stop or does it take 3-5 hours when it estimated 2 hours? The estimated time till completion is often wrong for many slicers.
Ok guys I am really a newbie on 3d printing. I am teaching myself from scratch. I had no idea how to 3d print. I figured it out. The Makerbot software wasn’t really working so I switched to simplify3d which is a lot easier. I did not know once you design the object like on tinkercad you need to clean it before you print it out. If you don’t clean it you will be wasting filaments. I finally got it thanks.
