hi all, it’sss only me…
my old chinglese board has sort of parp’d, the Z axis just wont play ball any more, so the smoothie i was saving for the big boy has to be used.
the question is… whats the crack with wireing the mosfets for the heaters?
is it literally place a wire from the the psu pos and neg to the mosfet pos ad neg, then put the heater element in ‘series’ via T juncions??
(i’m thinking the difference is if its in series then the boards 12v input isnt taking the full amps of all channels used…and if the shit hits the fan your pc isnt eather lol).
and can i just take wires directly from the psu’s other connection ports directly to the mosfet pairs? or does that bring the psu ‘into the curcuit’ in an undesirable way? (best to make sure when its 100 quid a pop n smoke it).
side isue, is it ok using pairs of wires to up the amperage limits of those wires?
(whats meant by 'or you can use jumpers to feed the pairs of big and small mosfets? is that the little black jumper pin headers? or a term for T junctions?)
