With my after x5 mini you can set the stepper current. Only problem is I can’t seem to find these motors on the internet. Anyone have any ideas what current I should set for these or a way to test for it
What stepper controllers are you using? Are they integrated or plug in?
Normal you start low and slowly bump it up untill you have enough power. On a prusa (like I see you have) x and y don’t need to be high. But the Z needs a little more power if it’s moving fast.

if you have a Rambo I’ve found that the default value works just fine if you move your max Z speed down a bit.
-
if your the real twisting patenchiomitors then you just have to start way low and slowly move up.
-
if your running any other digital patenchiomitor, try the default and move from there.
i think it is this one : http://www.kysanelectronics.com/Products/Detail.php?pageNum_rsIN=1&totalRows_rsIN=13&recordID=6453
@Benjamin_Engel It is integrated. Ill have to play with it i guess but I would really like to know the best to set it to.
@Sebastien_Mischler I cant seem to get your link to work
@Chad_Nuxoll what board do you have?
Its an Azteeg x5 mini. Darn auto correct fixed it in the first comment to after lol
I just found this but 0.87A seems a little low to me.
Then bump it up to .9A
