With my CTC offline while I diagnose its problem, here is my CR-7 build after a few hours of building. All in all very happy with the mechanicals…well except for the crappy M5 leadscrew. The screw jammed into one of the 2 spring loaded nuts. I finally quit messing with it and took an M5 leadscrew and 2 M5 nuts out of stores and continued with the build. Nice and compact machine. Electronics and heatbed and we are ready to roll…
Cute. Kinda wish the motors were black finished too, like the ones openbuilds sells. But I don’t think these are as tall as those ones…
Cool
34mm and 40mm tall. Looks really nice. V wheels are totally silent
Looks like another ripoff of @Whosa_whatsis ’ Bukito design.
I agree with @ThantiK but it still is a cool little printer.
It is at that. Let’s see how long this one lasts. I seem to be eating printers lately.
is the bukito the first to come up with crane style? a ripoff usually involve fraud…
@Step_Cia It’s one of the more blatant clones. Some of the parts look like they actually bought a bukito and traced the parts in CAD to duplicate them.
What I can tell you is the assembly video is very good. 3 view animation of each assembly, well packaged and clearly marked components, excellent workmanship, injection molded plastic parts. They did a very good job all in all. So far as I can see anyway. Even if I end up replacing the MoBo, the mechanicals are well done…well except for the stooopid M5 leadscrew.
well that’s not nice…
