With the hobby 3d printers is there a filler material to fill inthe clearances of a working model like the comercial printers or is the hobby printers just for making solid models?
You should probably at least take a small glance at this community. There are at least 2 examples of support material from repraps right on the front page. Printers such as the ones that people own here can do support material out of the same plastic they are printing with, or you can upgrade to 2, 3, 4 nozzles in order to mix materials and get dissolvable supports with water or other solvents.
