Woo! Graber I3 parts came in today. Got it halfway built. The frame anyway.
i can imagine the smell of fresh wood :). but they look kinda thin, are they sturdy? just curious … thumbs up btw ! i love printers made of wood !

Ya it’s around 1/4in birch. Or what ever the spec is the the graber.
It’s sturdy once put together, some of the bigger pieces are kinda flimsy alone.
I had my friend cut it for me since my cnc is too small to do the larger frame pieces. The tolerances are really really tight, I need to break out the rubber mallet :).
Just don’t forget to seal the wood as soon as possible!
Agreed! Seal it as soon as possible. A 10$ investment will protect your 600$ printer from a 0.10$ accident.
