Woohoo. It lives and I’s reproducing!! With this I can hear the electricity flowing through my 3D printer. The pulsing pid controlled flow to heaters, and singing of the steppers. I think it’s pretty cool. Coming to MRRF so look me up. Also if it’s allowed I want to have some contests. Best model improvement on my design of s case. Best 3D print of the case. Best new design of original case. Prizes like kits of the above and other little goodies.

I’ll be there and I definitely want to see this. Ray/ Cohesion3D - look for big printers and blue pcbs!

Does it do milling too or what is going on here?

Yeah, I’m not sure what I’m looking at either…

Also why are the two coils in that arrangement?

@raykholo I have been wanting to check out your boards. I have a printer that needs some brains.

That my friends is a soldered circuit board for the EMWaveEar. It is sitting on 18 circuits boards that I finished milling today.
So WTF does it do?
It let’s you listen to em waves that are all around us. You wouldn’t believe how noisy a auto engine compartment is.

Uh oh, if that thing gets popular, people might realize how atrociously repraps radiate EMR…

Ah. Now after re-reading the original post, it makes sense.

So does it convert to audio range or just voltage signal out for CRO or similar?

…AM Radio does a pretty damn job of picking up EM waves too!..in fact, I had an LED flashlight that when the emitter was turned on and put in close proximity to the AM antenna, an interference would be detected and heard!!!

Sounds like kind of like Tesla’s Ghost Radio

I bought a kit at MRRF. What value are the inductors?

@david_merten my table got pretty busy, and I’m not sure if we got a chance to meet or not.

@Daniel_Kruger  22uh

@raykholo I was in the 2nd building. I was so busy Saturday I missed most of the show. Had fun with the kids, watching their faces light up when they heard the music playing out of my mini boom box, that had the speakers torn out. It still had the voice coils of the speakers and that is what the em ear picked up on.
I wish there would have been more time to meet and talk to all the people there.

I was briefly at the 2nd building to see @Gary_Hangsleben and for food :slight_smile: Didn’t catch much else. Otherwise, what you said. But hey, way more conversation time than all the Maker Faires I’ve been to.
