Working on a WS281X / SK6812 pixel controller that is aimed at driving just over 8000 pixels. Comes in two parts the controller and the receiver. The receiver board can be powered with 5 or 12v power. Looking forward testing it out with the Octows2811 FastLED implementation!

Very cool. Please give us an update as you progress.

Looking at the controller board, one thought I had-- Is there enough room to plug the USB jack into the Teensy?

@marmil yes the USB side is on the left between wiznet expansion port and and dmx serial headers.

Looks awesome. Are you planning on making these commercially available, or are you just making this for personal use?

@Mike_Clifford after testing out I will have them available for the market.

This is testing all the components out and running 100 12v pixels running Teensy 3.2, wiznet Ethernet, octows2811 & e1.31, fastled code . After this proof of concept test I conceived the megapixel controller idea to put all of the core components together with options plus a convenient Receiver board that can be placed near the pixels. Note The ws2811 floods are running from a separate Arduino controller also running fastled & e1.31 https://youtu.be/_nMbsddnXQE
