XYZ printer now in Singapore @ the 2017 It Show. Using proprietary filament it come with a NFC tag in the filament roll costing SGD68 per roll. The unit cost SGD698 auto bed level, notice they are just using masking tape on their bed and it’s able to hold the print. Quality looks good hahaha.
Proprietary filiment?
I don’t like it already.
I want a printer that can utilize plastic bottles, beach sand and dryer lint as a medium.
I want it capable of autonomous locomotion, and a cost under SGD68.
Why shouldn’t 3d printing technology emulate wasps, bees, ants and spiders?
Proprietary filament is so 2010. I remember when 250g cartridges costed $250 for a Stratasys printer my school had.
@mark_warlick because the technology is far too complicated, yet limited in abilities, to be cheap and autonomous.
Proprietary filament = instant hard nope.
Proprietary filament? Mmmmmno.
@_Spice so far,perhaps.
I used to be amazed at seeing a bag phone.
The phone I’m using this minute is equal in computing power to that of a military grade Cray supercomputer of 1998 when I had a pocket sized cellphone, having been amazed by a bag phone, a very few years prior.
