Y axis direction unreliable

I can’t determine why, but every so often the Y axis inverts direction sending the buildplate off int he wrong direction when i hit “home”. When it’s working like this it only moves about 10mm in the wrong direction then stops. If I hit home again, it moves another 10mm in the wrong direction, Resetting the board usually fixes the problem, but does anyone know what might be the cause of this? The other axes all seem to work reliably.

What’s happening here, is Smoothie “thinks” the endstop was hit when it wasn’t.

This usually happens due to noise in the wires, or wiring problems.

You can try changing this : 

#endstop_debounce_count 100

To this : 

endstop_debounce_count 200
3
