Y-home in the wrong direction.

Manual jogging (using ponterface over usb) works perfectly in the x & y directions. X-home works but when I press y-home, the y-axis moves in the negative direction, away from the limit switch. Not really sure whats causing the problem here.

Check to make sure that switch is not triggered using M119. Mine does this sometimes and I suspect a faulty switch or wiring. Usually a few taps will bring mine back to life though!

Do you have a moving bed ? If so are you sure you are not confused about which side the endstop should be on ( extremely common problem ) ?

No moving bed but I think you’re right - I believe I had the end stop in the wrong place. I have the same power supply as in the blue box guide, and wired it identically, but when I turn on the machine, the laser is always on. Any ideas on this one? I tried moving the pmw output (coming from pin 2.5) to the “IN” pin on my power supply but now it will not fire at all.

For laser-specific debugging like this, a good idea would be to ask on the opensource-laser google groups, or K40-laser G+ community etc …
