Yegah and Z,X parts turned into plywood
Hey, that exactly what I’m doing! (Glad to see I’m not the only one) I’m attempting to build a 3D printer and only have access to a crude home made CNC router - so I’m manually layering the piece in Sketchup and cutting out the pieces and stacking them together with 3/16" bolts.
I did it in different way. Looked at original part, took of crucial measurements and than I drew new in draftsight. Parts will be at github soon.
Draft sight is great! One of my favorite pieces of software
What do you use to generate the gcode from DraftSight? (I’m having good success with SketchUCam in Sketchup - but unfortunately Sketchup free doesn’t import dxf files).
I use VcarvePro with dwg or dxf files from Draftsight. You could use cambam though.
I’m exporting files to asci dxf 2004-2006. After export there is no problem of importing files to any cam.
