YES! I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to get PLA to work with the MM kit, this little color change (many many layers into the print) is the best looking thing ever!

(Ridge in heat break needed to be polished, Nozzle seasoned with canola, firmware updated, and the Benchy had to be run through the lates Slic3r, rather than using the factory provided g-code)

https://plus.google.com/photos/… all four filaments successfully changed!

Are you using a e3d v6? I funded the prometheuse system on kickstarter and was woundering if it will work without their hotend

This is the e3d included in the MM kit, it’s not 100% what the average e3d includes. The heat break is a little different, and it’s got a 41mm ptfe piece to help guide material from each tool path.

@Mike_Miller ahh ok, i hope ill get mine to work

@Matthew_Del_Rosso Prometheus is now also sold as E3Dv6 upgrade kit with a replacement heartbreak: https://www.distechautomation.com/products/prometheus-system-e3d-v6-upgrade

@Janne_Grunau ya i saw that, wanna give the iriginal a try tho unti I switch over… Gotta save some cash lol

@Mike_Miller somewhat off topic, but could you shoot me a multi color test gcode file? Had a user report issues with MM files and the gcode viewer in OctoPrint but so far didn’t get a file to test with (would prefer something verified to actually work instead of trying to source my own without being able to test).

What are the temperatures of the extruder/bed? PLA can be temperamental if you’re running too hot.
