@Lotfi_Leviaton here’s another way of creating your sketch shape. Note that I’ve only got one dimension showing. The construction lines in blue don’t become part of your model, they’re just there for relationships between parts. I can drag bits around until I’ve got the shape that looks best, have it maintain thickness, or add extra dimensions if I need lengths to be exact to fit something else.
P.S. There is a FreeCAD community if you’re not already there…
Mark, rather than using angular constraints on the construction lines, you can use perpendicular constraints. It is always best to use geometric constraints where you can and keep the number of dimensional constraints to a minimum.
As they’re both 90 degrees wouldn’t the code be doing the same thing under the hood? It would be tidier on screen, so thanks for the heads up. Always room for learning more
