You know you’re in a printer’s home when you see lots of outlines lying around :stuck_out_tongue:

What do you guys do with yours?

My girlfriend picks them up and says look you made a mess again. lol

Wife and I store them until we can recycle/turn them back into filament.
She also saves the ones she wants to try to print again or learn how to make a better model of those so they print better.

I think theres a way to recycle this, saw some efforts in the web nothin final

I find little bits stuck to my socks all the time. Only time I worry is when the 18month old finds new chew toys

How about cat owners? My cat LOVES PLA. It’s disgusting :stuck_out_tongue:

I think he’s in my lap wanting to be nice n’ close to me. Nope. It’s the filament. Hopefully the stuff won’t kill him, I’m keeping notes.

Woody - U didn’t mention WHICH Kinda plastic those pieces were - since that is Critical info.!

For PLA - I don’t have a specific solution - although - I’ve heard it say - since its biologically based (cornstarch) - in theory - and others have ventured to say its possible - you could put it deep into a Composte pile- in hopes that you can recycle it that way. However…

I’ve been doing my own kinda plastic recycling - specifically w/ABS - making liquid plastic I paint with. You can see a sample here (although its NOT as easy to paint with as Real Paint):

@Woody_Williams can second the cat owner issue. I have banned my cats from the print room because they keep vomiting the plastic. So gross and its gotta be awful for them. She prefers ABS though, which is even scarier.

Throw it all in a box and my 9 yo makes crazy stuff with it.
