Yeah, Veg tan is usually the way to go. The result is quite nice though. It’s amazing how up close you can see all the little dots but when viewed from a distance you get a really nice overall effect.
Quick question, how big is this image & how long did it take to process? My most recent test (on ply) was 280mm x 180mm & took 2.5 hours (spot size 0.1mm, white 500, black 400). I have a feeling I must have some settings wrong somewhere for it to take so long. Any chance I could compare against your smoothie config file?
Veg tan is also better if you plan to do any embossing on the leather afterwards…
