We don’t want to start a run on vacuum cleaner bags but if you have unused bags at home you can probably make four effective masks from each one, and maybe have an excuse to put off the vacuuming for a while…

I don’t know whether the plastic in these can survive 30 minutes of a 70⁰C oven for sterilization.

Lots of conflicting info on how effective these home made things are.

Our healthcare providers will not take homemade masks. I guess if they come from contaminated households they could be making the spread worse…

I just delivered all our elastic to a nurse making them.

Duke is reporting a new sterilization protocol with peroxide mist. That could make a big difference in N95 demand…
