My new machine finally arrived.
440lb box… Had to remove door and frame from basement to get it in…

Built a ramp to eliminate steps, strapped it to car and used it to slowly lower machine down.

Worked really well. Had two helpers and went without incident.

Awesome!

Let the fun begin

Which laser was it

The one I linked previously. 60w
I’ll get pics of it when I get it unboxed.

nice I purchased similar one and added camera and auto focus on the machine… upload picks.

New Project!!! Sweet!

Nice I’m interested in adding a camera.

Yes hopefully won’t take me too long to get it set up and operational.

990mm approx

@Nigel_Conroy do you have experience with RD works or will you use coral draw?

@3D_Laser I’ve been using RDworks mainly as last step in process. I use Corel draw for file conversion, trying to get better using the trace function.
I don’t like the Laser plugin as it lacks some control.

I design or create things in sketchup or Google Drawing

@Nigel_Conroy how do you get the size to come out right when ever I try to import my size goes all wonky

It might be down to your settings on the export file.

But one trick is to add a line to the side that you know the length of, say 40mm
When you import check the size of the line and then adjust the entire project based on that.
Does that make sense?

@Nigel_Conroy yes kinda like making a key or legend on a map

nice

and this is how you end up with evil labs in the suburbs.

Blower motor has wrong plug

Also have an air bubble in laser tube.
Is that ok or not?
I can’t remember but know I’ve read about it previously.
