OK so this morning i started my cleaning and mirror alignment. Got the mirrors aligned and started on the lens and it is broke. Used my lens and holder that come with the laser NP. I did a vector image for a LED light with no problems. I wanted to try and do a raster photo on a piece of acrylic. It got to 20 percent and my machine just stopped responding. The test fire button still works. I am using the Cohesion3d mini and LW4. My GLCD was unresponsive when it stopped.

Have you tried with another file?

Ariel no I have not I was getting so frustrated with one thing after the other to fix I figured it was best just to stop there. I will try another file.

@Richard_Gallatin I understand. Take it easy and go step by step and report so will be able to help you

Just a thought could it be file size. Seems when I get some bigger pictures and I generate the GCODE LW screen goes just white and I can not do nothing else until I restart LW

Yes that’s possible. What size is your file? Pixels? Final size?

300dpi I want to say it was like 170mm x 150mm was running laser at 200 mm/sec and 28% power. My file size was 38MB.

Have you tried running it from the SD?

I did run from SD.
I had USB plugged in but selected play file from GLCD

I haven’t heard of anyone locking the machine due to size while running from SD. Is your image to complicated or is your laser diameter to small?

was running .085 diameter. I dont think it was complex picture just 2 people nothing off the wall.

Ok therws your issue. Laser diameter should not be less than 0.1 by using .085 you are overlapping the lines and creating an unnecessary large file due to that size.

I will try it again at the .1 Also what would cause LW work area to go a solid white after I generate GCODE. I can not do anything to get my grids and picture back.

Im not sure what you mean. Please post a picture if you can

Before I generate gcode.

After I generate gcode.

Sorry about screen dang phones

That does not suppose to happen. Maybe it’s a side effect of that large image code. First are you running the latest version? If you haven’t yet, try adjusting the laser diameter and try again. We would need to dig deeper if this continues. After generating the new file also let http://me.know the size if it works

I made my image smaller that before for a test. Image was 100mm x 75mm and it still did it. I will go and make sure I have the lastest version. I am running
