Trying to find out what kind if adhesive to safely use to place my LED lights where they’re suppoed to be mounted. Picture below.

Any double sided tape would be fine. The original double sided tape on mine ended up failing so I just glued magnets to my light bar.

VHB tape is almost certainly overkill, but “double sided film tape” is a good search term to start looking for something high quality to replace the junk that was used initially.
Clean off the old tape adhesive with isopropyl alcohol before putting new tape on.
