Здравейте колеги. Контролера на машината е за 40 W тръба. Поръчах си нова, която е 50W. Ще има ли проблем, ако се сложи към този контролер. !

Does this site have a mechanism in place for making donations?
The short answer is no, we don’t. There’s a much longer answer about the site running on freely-provided infrastructure, and lack of interest in ongoing donations when the topic came up earlier.
I don’t even have a sense of how much it would cost to set up translation, keeping in mind all the historical non-English Google+ content that was imported.
Hello colleagues. The machine controller is for a 40 W tube. I ordered a new one, which is 50W. Will there be a problem if it is attached to this controller. !!

I don’t know much about laser tubes but I would assume yes you can put a higher wattage laser in place of a lower wattage laser. Most laser tubes have an operating range and as long as the range of the 50W tube includes 40W, then it should work.
Also, higher wattage tubes tend to be longer so you need to make sure you have enough space in the enclosure.

Hi @nikolai_kusev , welcome here !
to answer your question, you need to look at the limiting factorS.
a K40 is all about the power supply, that’s include the power for motors & electronic which is not a big deal, but also the hight voltage side. so No more than 40W for the laser with stock PSU.
With a more powerfull PSU, you could theorically go for more powerfull tube, but they are longer and possibly bigger diameter. that mean you will have to cut the box and add a bit of extra metal enclosure to be on the safe side. but if the new tube have a larger diameter you will also need to change the tube holder ($$).
but that’s not all, the poor mirrors/lens delivered with the k40 may not endure very long more powerfull laser ray, so more $$.
So finally you will have spend a lot of time and $, for a machine which have the only pretention to be a cheap entry level/discovery Laser tool.
If your goal is too have a powerfull machine, you are better of to buy directly a more powerfull one.
To be clear, @Ralph_Schaffner is a long-time forum member who was just translating @nikolai_kusev’s post.
