We plan a short (1-2 minute) service interruption this evening, 18 Feb, to update Discourse.

Click on your profile picture (avatar) at the upper right, then on the preferences button:

Select image to set a time to turn off notifications. This is particularly useful if you have enabled desktop notifications for discourse, but it will also turn off emails.
