Is it just me, or is bamboo very hard to work with. I cut out a design in 3/4 Walnut plywood that worked great, tried the same file on a piece of bamboo and it broke the bit and was generally not cutting well at all.

I think bamboo cutting boards use particularly tough bamboo because, well, cutting boards.
Strand woven it was.
